Launched in 2002, Windows XP has been labelled as Microsoft's most successful operating system ever. In 2012, ten years after its launch, XP was still the world's most widely used OS, despite the fact that sales ended in 2009.

XP has proven particularly popular in the business market, but with Microsoft's extended support ending on 8th April 2014, companies now have a decision to make. After that date, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates, fixes or new patches.
