Wycombe district council has signed a £4.5m managed services contract with Northgate Information Solutions.
The five-year deal will see Northgate provide desktop support to 650 council staff, including an increasing number who work remotely from home.
The contract also includes 24-hour systems monitoring, off-site data storage and disaster recovery procedures.
It extends Wycombe’s existing relationship with Northgate, which provides the council’s customer relationship management and revenues and benefits systems.
Councillor Helen Wilkinson, Wycombe’s cabinet member for customer services, said: “We are delighted to be strengthening our partnership with Northgate as we seek to meet the needs and expectations of local communities for enhanced services, whilst recognising the need to deliver these services more efficiently.”
