The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority is tendering out a five-year contract to replace its ageing SAP business software platform.
The Authority says it has a requirement for an enterprise resource planning solution for 700 staff. The Authority is a non-departmental government body carrying out research into fusion energy.
It wants to replace a SAP system purchased in 2004. The new solution must support core HR functions including timesheets, core finance functions based around project accounting and the procurement of both catalogue and complex non-standard items.
The body says it wants to purchase a hosted solution with implementation services included. The estimated value of the contract has not been disclosed in the tender.
The contract will be for a period of five years post implementation which is expected to commence in January 2016. The contract will be extended on an annual basis subject to agreement between both parties. Implementation is expected to start in June 2015.
