Transport and logistics firm Ryder has selected Unisys to provide back office support to its European operations.
Under the contract, Unisys will host and support Ryder’s datacentre and provide full IT organisation services for desktops and servers across all Ryder’s European sites.
The outsourcing of Ryder’s day to day IT infrastructure management will allow its in-house IT team to focus on initiatives that can increase the company’s competitive advantage and help increase its market share across Europe. The contract is expected to provide flexibility to adapt to Ryder’s changing IT support needs in future.
Ryder’s head of IT, Mark Parker, said: “This relationship with Unisys provides Ryder with an excellent resource on which to draw as we continue to build and expand our European operations.”
