Lloyds TSB’s corporate markets division has completed a £3.5m Cisco converged communications project at its Gresham Street premises in London.

The network brings together Lloyds TSB’s relationship banking service with its debt capital markets, risk management and structured finance business, creating an integrated team of more than 1,100 staff, including 200 traders.

The bank contracted communications integrator Affiniti to provide design, pre-staging, implementation and user acceptance testing services for the technology at the new premises and to connect it with facilities at the bank’s Monument Street and Chiswell Street sites.

The new network supports the Lloyds TSB’s trading floor equipment, with a reduced output of noise and heat. The Gresham Street building also includes a 30-seat IP contact centre.

Colin Everett, head of IT strategy and architecture at Lloyds TSB corporate markets, said: “Our corporate clients require a complex combination of services, including risk management and specialist financing. By bringing together our sales and customer relationship management within a highly reliant and converged communications environment, duplication of administrative tasks and processes has been removed.”

He added: “This has resulted in time and cost savings and an increase in client requirements we can now fulfil.”
