International law firm Clifford Chance will roll out BlackBerry 10 devices to over 1,600 employees as part of its mobile computing strategy.
Clifford Chance, a long time customer of BlackBerry, will provide employees with the full touchscreen BlackBerry Z10 devices, and the forthcoming keyboard based Q10 handset during this summer.
The devices will be supported by Blackberry’s Enterprise Mobility Management solution, Enterprise Service 10, to provide device management, security and app management. It will also support BlackBerry Balance, to separate personal and private encrypted information for the law firm’s employees.
“BlackBerry Enterprise Service offers us a strong combination of flexibility, functionality and security,”said Paul Greenwood, CIO at Clifford Chance said. “Combined with the new BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 smartphones, it helps our people to be more productive and to deliver excellence in client service.”
Rob Orr, UK Managing Director at BlackBerry commented: “BlackBerry 10 is a robust and reliable platform that is smooth and responsive. It is designed to learn and adapt to the way you work, which is a distinguishing benefit that resonates strongly with customers.”
“We are proud that Clifford Chance has selected BlackBerry 10 as the foundation of its mobile computing strategy.”
Orr said at the recent BlackBerry Experience Forum that there are currently 100 enterprise customers using the new BlackBerry 10 operating system, including BT, Aviva, the Co-Operative Group and Centrica.
Last month BlackBerry said that it had sold over 1 million of its Z10 devices during the fourth fiscal quarter, as the company returned to profit.
