Google+ begins to open floodgates

Inviting friends to Google+ is a lot more straightforward now. That's welcome news to users of the Internet search leader's growing social networking service.

Google has opened up its Google service, allowing each user to dole out up to 150 invites.

Inviting friends to Google+ is a more straightforward now, with users able to either invite people by email, as before, or send a link to a dedicated invite page.

Previously, to invite friends, you had to enter each person's email address one at a time. With the new link that can be shared with a group, such as on Twitter, Facebook, or your website, Google is moving in the right direction.

However, while you can send out more than 150 invites, only 150 people can sign up under you with this new system.
