EE mobile customers can now get superfast 4G access in 14 more countries, although corporate users will have to wait.
EE has signed a series of outbound roaming agreements with other operators to enable the faster connectivity. EE customers travelling to Canada, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Moldova, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, UAE, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Switzerland can now benefit from 4G data speeds.
This is in addition to France and Spain, where 4G roaming agreements were launched by EE in March.
The 4G option is immediately available to consumers and small business customers, with corporate customers to "follow soon", said EE. The operator said it will add other destinations later this year.
Olaf Swantee, CEO of EE, said: “Whether it’s working on the move, social networking, using maps or just finding a great place to eat in an unknown city, our customers can now enjoy the same superfast and reliable mobile experience at home and overseas.”
