Danone is putting its human capital management (HCM) in the cloud with SAP subsidiary SuccessFactors.

With more than 100,000 employees worldwide, food and drinks company Danone owns brands including Activia, Volvic, Evian, Shape, Actimel and Badoit.

Danone is deploying multiple SuccessFactors HCM solutions, including Employee Central, Recruiting, Performance and Compensation, and the SAP Cloud for Travel and Expense system.

Danone said it will "renovate its HR information system to foster better support to the global and local HR functions". Using SuccessFactors, it says it will "find the right talent in emerging markets and improve employee engagement, performance and career experience".

With the SAP Cloud for Travel and Expense platform, Danone expects to standardise processes and open them up for mobile access.

Danone is a heavy user of SAP software, using SAP HANA databases in the cloud to develop customer facing applications and in 2012 it brought in SAP to enable it to measure its environmental footprint using a bespoke reporting platform.

SuccessFactors has also signed cloud-based software deals with TV company Live Nation, Aspen Insurance and brewer MillerCoors.
