Apple is reportedly working on a new iMac desktop computer, a 22in model complete with touchscreen display.

That's according to a far east report from Commercial Times, who last year claimed Apple was working on a netbook.

According to the Chinese newspaper, Apple is outsourcing production of the 22-inch iMac to computer manufacturer Quanta, with Taiwan-based Sintek Photronic supplying the touchscreen panels. Sintek currently offers a range of touchscreen panels - from 2.8-inch to 12-inch - but currently no 22-inch model.

Quanta bills itself as the largest notebook computer ODM company in the world, with over 30,000 employees worldwide.
