Construction and support services group Carillion is deploying a new financial performance management system from Tagetik to work with its Microsoft-based reporting infrastructure.
The Tagetik’s platform will be used to manage Carillion's statutory consolidation and management reporting processes on Microsoft platforms. It will replace a legacy system and all financial data processed by Tagetik will be viewed and analysed through Microsoft business intelligence technology via SharePoint Server.
“Our business requirements were growing at a very fast pace and we were embracing a Microsoft business intelligence strategy at the same time,” said Ignacio Llorden, CIO at Carillion.
“We conducted a software selection to choose the most comprehensive software solution on the market for our current and future needs in financial performance management - a solution that would deliver industry-specific functionality and fit perfectly with our IT strategy as well.”
Carillion was looking for a solution that could cover its budgeting and planning requirements at divisional level.
The Tagetik system comes with built-in functionality for advanced cash flow planning, as well as features that will enable Carillion to plan and monitor bottom-line profitability by project, which is essential in the construction and support services business.
Airport operator BAA brought in Carillion IT services to install a network at an extension to Heathrow Terminal 5.
