Entrepreneurs could be in with a chance to win seed investment for their projects of up to $400,000 (£242,000) with a global Citrix Systems competition.
The Citrix Startup Accellerator Global Challenge 2011 is an opportunity for entrepreneurs around the world to compete for the all-important initial funding, and mentoring, for their innovations.
Citrix is looking for startups that focus on software technology, particularly in the areas of mobile and cloud computing.

Six winners will be chosen at key global technology regions, including Cambridge in the UK, Bangalore in India, Boston and Silicon Valley in the US, and Sydney, Australia.
Each will receive up to $400,000 each, as well as business mentoring, access to the global Citrix ecosystem of technology and technologists and office space at the Citrix Startup Accelerator Center in Silicon Valley for up to 18 months.
Applications for the challenge have opened and will be accepted until 27 May on the challenge website.
