Telecoms giant BT has banned members of its support forums from discussing its Phorm Webwise trials, adding that it will remove threads that did not contain "constructive" comments.
Phorm is the controversial advertising system that tracks web movements to deliver targeted advertising that is relevant to individual web users.
The ISP is currently hosting a trial of the service with a select number of customers before it is rolled out across the UK.
In a post announcing a change to forum policy, BT said: "To ensure that the forums remain constructive we're tightening up our moderation policies and will be deleting threads that don't provide constructive support. For example, we have removed a number of forum discussions about BT Webwise".
"If you do want to find out more about BT Webwise, we provide lots of information and the facility to contact us at www.bt.com/webwise."
