Investment manager Brewin Dolphin has chosen Atos Origin to provide hosted datacentre services to cover its key business systems.

The firm, which as 37 UK offices and manages £21bn of investments, said the the move was a cost effective way of ensuring round-the-clock resilient IT systems.

Neil Bath, Brewin’s group head of IS, said moving to a hosted primary datacentre would enable the firm “to ensure continued service to our client base, while also allowing for future expansion”.

Atos said the datacentre service would also let Brewin modernise and consolidate their datacentre estate of equipment and take advantage of developments including lower-energy technologies.
