Avis and Budget car rental businesses have partnered with Tata Consultancy to upgrade their mobile apps with improved functionality for customers.
The two businesses, part of Avis Budget Group, now allow users to modify reservations, view past rental data and find rental locations through their mobile device.
The mobile apps also let customers select additional products and services to incorporate into car rental reservations, such as additional liability coverage, satellite radio and roadside assistance – expanding on the GPS and child safety seat options already available.
Synchronised pricing across channels, such as mobile, social and office locations, will be also be offered to reflect customised preferences and insurance options.
The new applications are now available on iOS and Android platforms.
