French IT services provider Atos Origin will from next month offer IT process automation services to enable clients to apportion IT resources to meet application and user demands in real time.
It has teamed up with Enigmatec, a software vendor that sells the technology and which recently worked with Carphone Warehouse to improve support for the store chain’s critical business applications, using Enigmatec’s RunBook Automation software.
An unnamed British financial services firm will be the first client of the venture between Atos Origin and Enigmatec, but the tie-up will also serve other firms’ core IT infrastructures, including datacentres, desktop support, server farms and network communication systems.
Atos Origin is also employing the automation technology in its own business, to improve processes and accelerate provisioning across its technology, including virtual machines and legacy systems.
