Atos Origin the integration and IT consultancy group is signalling that it thinks the economy is improving by adding to its staff roster of consultants. Head of the consulting division Paula Sussex today announced four new consultants joining the company.
Although critics and politicians are saying there will be less budget available to consultants, Sussex said her division was expecting private sector organisations requiring help to grow and again and that the public sector will need consultants to advise on restructuring services as budgets are cut.
Greg Smith, formerly an Associate partner at Capgemini has switched to Atos Origin to become a partner in the CIO Advisory service. Smith will be advising CIOs on greater use of Agile project management techniques, cloud computing and the benefits of Web 2.0 tools.
The Atos Origin Health consulting division has hired Kevin Hunter from PA Consulting where he was an Associate Partner. Hunter will focus on increasing the amount of work Atos Origin secures from the NHS. Previously Hunter was involved in the development of the Healthcare for London stroke strategy. He also has previous consulting experience with PriceWaterhouse in the UK and Hong Kong and commercial IT experience with Burton Group and Marley Tile Company.
Two new consultants have joined the Enterprise consulting division. Hugh McDowell and Sanjay Chawla both join Atos Origin from rival consultancies. McDowall was a Partner with Accenture and has a specialism in CRM, whilst Chawla joins from recently acquired Perot.
