Anglian Water has selected NTT DATA to manage and deliver IT application testing services under a three-year contract, with the aim of improving quality and lowering costs.
The agreement will see NTT DATA establish and run a test centre of excellence for Anglian Water. The centre will test all new and upgraded IT applications developed and implemented on behalf of Anglian Water by its internal and external application development teams.
NTT DATA will deploy consistent testing methodologies, processes and use of tools across all projects, leveraging Anglian Water’s previous investment in testing software. By extending the range of test automation, NTT DATA says it will enable Anglian Water to undertake more comprehensive testing on new releases at "a lower cost over a shorter period of time".
Key targets are to ensure a high quality of software delivery and minimal impact on the production environment, whilst continuously improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the testing teams.
Costs will be driven down through a combination of automation and by deploying NTT DATA’s ShoreWise resourcing strategy. The ShoreWise solution aims to deliver services from the onshore, nearshore and offshore locations best suited to specific requirements, through consistent best practice execution models, governance and delivery assurance.
