Young's Seafood is transforming its IT service desk with LANDesk Software.
The UK leading frozen fish brand has signed a contract to deploy the LANDesk Total User Management system, which will automate software management and facilitate control of all end user devices from one central point.
Gary Allwood, IT lead for service delivery and operations support at Young’s Seafood, said: “The LANDesk Solution has been implemented as part of Young’s IT services transformation. It will improve our IT support capabilities by allowing user self-service, automating software management and facilitating control of all end user devices."
He added: "This in turn will improve service levels whilst also freeing up time from routine everyday matters, and allow us to focus on other strategic initiatives, continuing to align IT with our core business priorities.”
LANDesk’s Total User Management system is designed to give businesses a dashboard for user control, management, security and support, whilst maximising the productivity of employees anywhere, regardless of device or application.
The Young’s Seafood team is using Total User Management to support employees on both mobile and fixed devices, but also to automate common support processes and manage software licenses. It is integrating Total User Management into its IT operations so that Young’s can deliver a "user-oriented IT vision" throughout its organisation, said Allwood.
