Vision Express has gone live with online IT service management software to help improve service levels and reporting.
The opticians chain said the Sostenuto Foundation service desk application, from supplier Sunrise Software, would support head office staff as well as its 319 stores across the country.
After adding 75 new stores to its business in recent times, Vision Express implemented the software to help it maintain IT service levels.
The company said that tracking of service level agreements had improved, and that it had better reporting on service management.
The software also had different functionality that helped with the purchasing of third party products including frames for glasses, it said.
Both the IT and product departments are using the software. Louise Smith, project manager, said each had “different categories and filters” so that they could see their own versions of the same system.
