Trafford Council is tendering for a customer relationship management framework agreement that could serve every other council and public body in north west England.
Trafford estimates its own system that it requires over a four-year period will be worth around £50,000 to the winning bidder, and that the framework model for the system could be used across the public sector in its region.
Trafford wants its CRM partner to "implement a CRM solution ready for delivery to all front line customer contact teams across the council and its partners, including the contact centre and customer access points".
Under the contract the winning bidder will enable Trafford to "be self-sufficient through knowledge transfer and the appropriate choice and application of technology and process", and deliver a "partnership arrangement in the development of intellectual property for a multi-agency customer services solution", according to the tender document.
There will be optional hosting provisions for the CRM software and maintenance and application support services under the deal.
