Mobile virtual network operator Talkmobile is deploying a new hosted customer relationship management and billing system to improve its operations.
Talkmobile, a division of The Carphone Warehouse and part of Best Buy Europe, has chosen Cerillion Technologies to host and manage the CRM and billing platform. Cerillion will also provide migration from Talkmobile’s legacy systems.
Talkmobile delivers a virtual mobile service to customers by piggy-backing on the Vodafone network. The company launched in 2008 and its service is distributed through Carphone Warehouse and other channels.
Talkmobile said Cerillion's technology was selected for its "established API layer and thin-client CRM interface", enabling easier integration with Talkmobile’s IT systems and "low impact deployment" at its call centres.
“By working with Cerillion we are able to deliver a great customer experience to our current and future customers,” said Paul Layte, managing director of Talkmobile. “Cerillion have understood our key project goals and I am confident we have chosen the right partner to help us grow our business.”
Virgin Mobile was the first major virtual mobile service offered to UK users, when it launched about ten years ago. Since then, the market has become crowded, with major brands like Tesco joining in.
