ServiceNow provider Fruition Partners expands into Europe with acquisition

Software vendor ServiceNow, a US partner for IT service management (ITSM), has expanded its presence into Europe with the acquisition of UK firm Partners in IT.

Fruition Partners, a leading US provider for IT service management (ITSM) vendor ServiceNow, has expanded into Europe with the acquisition of UK firm Partners in IT.

Bracknell-based ITSM specialist Partners in IT, formed in 1996, has supported a number of ServiceNow projects with enterprise customers in the UK, including the NHS, Boots, John Lewis, Travis Perkins and Waitrose.

The company will now be owned by ServiceNow Master-level provider Fruition Partners after a deal for an undisclosed fee completed on 1 July.

The new firm – Fruition UK – will see managing director Paul Cash report directly to Marc Talluto, chief executive officer of Fruition Partners, with the US and UK management teams remaining in the same locations.

Fruition Partners said that customers will gain access to the combined R&D, training capabilities, implementation resources, and ServiceNow knowledge base, with the acquisition creating a pool of 300 ServiceNow practitioners.

The company said that the deal would not have any major impact on the way either firm interacts with customers, and that they would “not be making any short-term organisational changes”.

“Fruition Partners has been growing rapidly and has been actively looking for the right partnership and acquisition opportunities in overseas markets,” said Fruition Partners CEO Talluto.

“As a leading player in the UK ITSM and ServiceNow market, Partners in IT represents the ideal qualities that we are seeking in a partner: financial strength, solid growth, incredible people, breadth and depth-of-experience in cloud and ServiceNow implementations, a similar entrepreneurial and innovative culture, and an extensive blue-chip client list."

ServiceNow has seen its presence grow in the UK and Europe, with a number of notable customer wins announced in the past 12 months, including Swiss Re, CERN, Greater Manchester CSU and Yorkshire Building Society.
