Training content provider Gtslearning has launched a new course for IT professionals seeking to gain Security+ certification from the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).
The five-day course has been designed to meet CompTIA's authorised quality curriculum standards and can be delivered as a five-day programme by training centres.
The CompTIA Security+ certification validates knowledge of communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, operational security, and general security concepts. It is an international, vendor-neutral certification aimed at IT professionals with at least two years’ networking experience, with an emphasis on security.
The certification is gaining increasing recognition and is part of IT security staff training at the US Department of Defence.
Robin Adda, managing director of Gtslearning said: "By adopting Security+ Certification as a standard, employers can ensure that their technical staff are competent to provide defence in depth."
Last month, CompTIA announced that the certification had been attained by more than 30,000 IT professionals worldwide.
