Intellect, the trade association for the UK technology industry, has pulled together the UK leaders of ten leading tech companies to guide its environment programme.
John Higgins, director general of Intellect said, “The group’s first project is supporting a report that Intellect is drafting which examines the role of technology in tackling climate change.

The industry leadership group is chaired by Graham Palmer, Intel UK and Ireland Country Manager and includes senior directors from the following companies:
Commenting on his involvement in the leadership group, Palmer said:
“Climate change is the biggest challenge facing us all. The Technology sector has already and continues to develop and deploy energy saving technologies to reduce the environmental impact of our products and services,” said Palmer.
Working through Intellect “will have a greater community impact” than trying to spread the message alone, he added.
