The Treasury is calling for businesses, charities and members of the public to submit their policy ideas, which could be included in chancellor George Osborne’s Budget on 19 March.

This could be an opportunity for the IT industry and other stakeholders to make their voices heard in government. Last year, the technology industry was left disappointed by the Budget after Osborne failed to make any substantial sector-specific announcements.

“In the interest of open and transparent policy-making, the government welcomes original and innovative ideas, which will be considered by HM Treasury,” the department said.

People are asked to submit their views via email to [email protected] The deadline for submissions is 14 February.
