EasyJet dials up AA CIO

Fourth emergency service man to re-start IT

EasyJet has announced a new CIO, Trevor Didcock.

Didcock joins from a short stint in consulting and began working with the budget airline earlier in October.

Didcock was a CIO in the insurance sector for two years with Homeserve and has been a CIO with the two largest car breakdown services in the UK, the RAC and the AA.

At easyJet he will report to chief executive Carolyn McCall as part of the Airline Management Board within the company.

"EasyJet is well known for innovative thinking, both in our business model and how we use technology," Didcock said in a statement about his appointment.

Didcock began his career with oil company Esso as a project engineer before moving to JP Morgan as a system analyst and then on to Mars as a business systems manager.
