Private healthcare and insurance provider Bupa has recruited Yasmin Jetha as its new CIO. Jetha will join the company next month from her current role as COO of the Financial Times.
Bupa CEO Ray King said Jetha will, “identify opportunities for technology to enable growth and support our business priorities.”
Before having responsibility for global IT at the Financial Times, Jetha was a board member with responsibility for IT at Abbey National.
Jetha will replace Bupa Group IS director John Lister who left in early 2009. Lister told ComputerworldUK.com’s sister title CIO last year that he was spearheading a standardisation project, Bupa One architecture to simplify the infrastructure of the corporation.
