Accenture is working with the Fiat-Chrysler Group to develop the next range of connected services for its Uconnect systems in the EMEA region.
Uconnect systems are integrated into Fiat-Chrysler Group’s vehicles to provide drivers with communication, entertainment and navigation features.
“Accenture and Fiat-Chrysler Group are jointly designing, building and managing the technology operations and mobile platform that will deliver the next generation of connected services for Fiat-Chrysler Group's Uconnect systems in the EMEA region,” said Luca Mentuccia, global senior managing director at Accenture.
Fiat-Chrysler said it will use the Accenture Connected Vehicle Business Service, which can help automakers deliver the on-board and back-end systems necessary to create connected vehicles, as well as provide integration with content providers, real-time vehicle diagnostic data and overall programme management.
Earlier this year, Fiat-Chrysler and Iveco owner CNH Industrial got together to bring in IBM to manage shared global IT operations. The scope of the agreement included mainframe infrastructure management, and hosting a global email solution that serves over 150,000 people worldwide.
