The UK's Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) has taken down music website RnBXclusive for allegedly defrauding the music industry.

SOCA arrested one person behind the website for fraud and posted a severe warning message on the website.

"The majority of music files that were available via this site were stolen from the artists.

"If you have downloaded music using this website you may have committed a criminal offence which carries a maximum penalty of up to 10 years' imprisonment and an unlimited fine under UK law," the message stated.

The agency said that it was not a simple copyright-infringement case. It is alleged that the music files posted on the site was stolen from music companies' websites before they were commercially released.
