Everton Football Club (FC) has extended its outsourcing of card payments to their entire transaction processing network in a deal to support its growing multichannel retail business.
The club said yesterday it would add to the Managed Transaction Service IT and card payment specialists, The Logic Group provide with additional services to ensure the secure delivery of data from all sales channels, through the vendor’s secure data centres and then on to the acquiring banks.
“The management of our multi-channel retail IT network is becoming increasingly complex and time consuming as we continue to meet the changing demands of our fan base,” said Philip Davis, Everton FC systems analyst. “Rather than spend time and money training our staff on the intricacies of non-core applications, we have decided to outsource our requirements. This means our time is freed up to meet the needs of our loyal and valued fan base.”
As Everton FC’s incumbent payment processing provider, The Logic Group handle transactions from all sales channels including in-store PoS, internet and call centre environments. It currently manages Everton’s ticketing, store-based, call centre and mail order, hospitality and online sales, including merchandising and e-ticketing, worth in excess of £10 million a year.
