IT services firm Fujitsu Services has deployed datacentre management software from Aperture to provide visibility into its physical resources and plan future capacity.
Fujitsu has datacentres in the UK and across Europe and Africa. It also manages datacentre services for private and public sector clients.
The IT services firm will use Aperture’s VISTA package to gain visibility into the available space, power use and cooling requirements across datacentres covering 210,000 square feet.
Mark Scott, head of customer data centres at Fujitsu Services, said: “Two major challenges we faced were to ensure our datacentres were cost, power and space effective, and to ensure that we had a good view of capacity to plan for the future.
“We knew we needed to implement a technology that would decipher the configuration management complexities of today’s datacentres, avoid operational errors and maintain the smooth running of our enterprise.”
The VISTA technology encapsulated datacentre best practice, he added.
