Members of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) will now be able to make Voice over IP (VoIP) calls for free.
The initiative, which is being run the business network in conjunction with internet telephone specialists Coms, will provide all 210,000 FSB members with a VoIP telecoms account that will allow them to contact each other for free.
Users can sign up for the service on the FSB website or by visiting www.fsb-voip.co.uk. Once they've input their membership details, FSB members will then be given an individual VoIP telephone number, which will also be included in the FSB members' directory.
Users will also be able to upgrade to a full VoIP account featuring an additional line without installation or monthly line rental costs.
Sandy Harris, director of member services at FSB said: "I am sure that FSB VoIP will be a valuable addition to the business networking opportunities available to our members through our online directory."
"This is further evidence that Hosted VoIP has come of age and is relevant to every business in the UK," added Terry Martin, CEO of Coms.
