Eurosport saw disruption to its online services this week after a hardware outage at its France data centre.
Viewers in the UK were unable to access the companies Eurosport Player throughout most of Tuesday. The main broadcast channels were unaffected.
According to the sports broadcaster the problems were due to a hardware failure caused by a "water leak".
“This resulted in the Eurosport Player being off-line in the UK for most of the afternoon and all evening on the 9th July,” a spokesperson said. “However, everything was returned to normal by the following day.”
The broadcaster said that efforts were still being made to fix the problem at the data centre facility.
Eurosport was not able to say at this point which company owned the data center facility where the problems have arisen.
