Gaia Ajax Widgets, an Ajax library for building ASP.Net and Mono applications, has been upgraded with re-factoring to make it easier to view and modify code.
The third-quarter release of the library was released this week by Norwegian developer Frost Innovation. Other improvements to the open source product include better documentation, samples, and widgets.
"The product is [intended] to make it very much easier to develop rich internet applications or Web 2.0 applications or whatever they're called this week," said Thomas Hansen, CTO of Frost.
Users can get Gaia Ajax Widgets either via the GNU General Public License version 2 for free software, or via a Gaia Commercial License. With the GNU licence, users must distribute the code for their applications. If commercial software vendors want to build an application and not release the source code, the product then costs €295 for a single developer license.
The software can be downloaded from the Gaia website.
