Day two of Openworld saw the company's CEO unveil the transformation of its cloud strategy, which CEO Mark Hurd described as "an inevitable destination."
Hurd also said that "the next priority is to get our platform rewritten and built for the cloud, then really rebuild our infrastructure strategy".
On top of updating its cloud applications, Oracle also made a series of investments in NetSuite this year, following its $9.3 billion acquisition in 2016.
NetSuite revealed the launch of new product features that were delivered with support from Oracle.
These include the general availability of NetSuite's SuitePeople, a joint Oracle NetSuite Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) and a selection of functionality features for products and services companies.
