FilerFrog is a Windows shell extension that makes it easier to manage files in Explorer.
The program has many useful features.
If you want to rename a group of files in Explorer, say, there's no alternative but to change them individually. Install FilerFrog and you'll get a host of useful rename options available from the right-click menu: they can find and replace text in names, automatically number files, append text to file names, truncate names and more. Just select the files, choose the file names you need and it's done.
Maybe you need a list of the files in a folder. Explorer can't do this at all, but again, FilerFrog makes it easy, providing another right-click option to create simple or detailed reports, saving them as text or HTML files.
Or perhaps you'd like to change the Created, Modified and Accessed dates of a group of files to the current time? Explorer can't do this either, but FilerFrog's "Touch" option will get the job done.
Resizing many images in normally a chore, as you're forced to open a photo editor and work on each image individually. FilerFrog can do this in a click or two, though, and is even able to place the new files into a separate folder to avoid confusion.
If you want to share your photos with friends and family, however, you should really explore the Image Album options. Select your favourite shots in Explorer, choose the settings you need and, say, a professional PDF file will be created in just a few seconds.
And this is just the start. There are also options to copy or move files more efficiently, to encrypt and decrypt confidential documents, split and join files, organise your desktop, put a logo on images, and more.
Some of FilerFrog's features are already available in Windows (invert selection, say), but there's still plenty here to help speed up and simplify your file management
