Check key software for missing updates

WIGI is a tiny portable vulnerability scanner which checks a few critical areas for missing updates, including:

?Operating System (OS) services packs
?Internet Explorer
?Adobe Flash ActiveX (IE)
?Adobe Flash Firefox plugin
?Adobe Flash

It's extremely basic. Launch the program, click "Scan" and in a few seconds the program displays every checked application, its current and latest version, and highlights any missing updates in red.

There's no automatic installation of updates, but that's not really a problem. If your Java is updated, for instance, just double-click it in the WIGI listing, a browser window opens at the appropriate page on the Java website, and you can be downloading the latest version in a click.

WIGI is a very basic update checker, which only supports a small number of applications and has no scheduler or automated installation features. But it's also tiny, no installation required, no adware or other hassles, so if you're not using anything similar then we'd give it a try.
