Adobe Debut 1.0

Get feedback on the designs you have created in various Adobe apps

If you make use of Adobe software, there is a high chance that you are involved in some sort of design process on a regular basis. As such it is likely that you need to showcase your ideas to others and get feedback from other members of your team. This is something that Adobe Debut can help with, making it possible to show off designs on your Android tablet and get feedback on the thoughts of others.

The app can pull in the designs you have synchronized with Adobe Creative Cloud, so providing you have access to an internet connection, you can access the files you have uploaded from anywhere. There is support for Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator files as well as common image formats such as GIF, JPEG and PNG – PDFs are also supported.

When you are working with Photoshop files, you can choose which layers you would like to import, so if you have used some layers to try out ideas that you later dismissed, there is no need to share them with your clients. A pen tool is on hand to enable you to make notes about further ideas and suggestions that you can work on back at your computer,

At its most basic, the app provides a handy way to show off a series of image ideas without the need to carry around a heavy laptop or having to remember to print out designs. The ability to take notes as you get feedback from clients is useful, but whether there is enough here to justify the price tag is open to debate.

A helpful tool, but one that has a limited market which may be limited further by the price.
