Movie Edit Pro MX Plus is the high-end version of MAGIX powerful video editor.
The core functionality is essentially the same as you get with Movie Edit Pro MX. So the program has wide support for importing footage, including the ability to handle HD movies from most HDV and AVCHD cameras; you get a full range of editing tools, from novice-friendly automatic options to versatile manual controls; professional menu authoring tools make it easy to create quality DVD and Blu-ray disc menus; and once you've finished your masterpiece can be burned to disc, exported as a regular or mobile-friendly video, or uploaded directly to YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, and MAGIX own Online Album site for easy sharing with others.
Improvements from previous versions of Movie Edit Pro start with a host of performance optimisations. The program starts rapidly, loads projects more quickly, and generates thumbnails faster than ever before. Support for NVIDIA CUDA and AMD OpenCL means AVCHD export is now up to 3 times faster than previously. And the program now makes much better use of all your CPU cores, with spectacular results: image stabilisation, for instance, may be up to 10 times faster on Intel Core i7 systems than with the previous version.
There's a lengthy list of other tweaks and additions, everywhere you look: interface improvements (individually adjustable track heights for easier editing); productivity improvements (new presets make it easier to export the videos you need); new effects, and more content, with new backgrounds, transitions, fonts, title templates and disc menus.
And the Plus version extends Movie Edit Pro MX with some valuable extras: dynamic slow motion and advanced blur effects; both primary and secondary colour correction; multicam editing; effect masks for greater control; travel route animation; the ability to create full Stereo 3D videos; Dolby Digital 5.1 support, 99 track editing (up from 32) and a whole lot more.
A powerful editor, only marginally more expensive than MAGIX Movie Edit Pro MX but with lots of worthwhile additional features. There's still something of a learning curve, but take the time to learn how everything works and you'll soon be producing some great movies
