Luxury fashion brand LK Bennett has extended its data back-up service in the cloud with Backup Technology.
LK Bennett first went into the cloud with Backup Technology in 2008, to improve the performance of its data back-ups in a cost-effective way.
LK Bennett currently backs up over 14TB of production data from multiple connections in London and the US. It has now extended that relationship with a new WAN optimisation system to improve the performance further.
David Van Eck, head of IT at LK Bennett, said: “The Cloud Backup Connector Appliance has helped the company to achieve several business benefits. Through a centralised online monitoring portal we receive guaranteed backup and recovery for all of our data systems as a professional and fully managed service."
Van Eck said: “Backup Technology is providing high-performance local recovery as well as online backup and virtual disaster recovery. The ability to restore emails, for instance, at a granular level back to the same or a different location is invaluable.”
The system is supporting and protecting data in SQL databases, application data in Microsoft Exchange, iSeries data and a large volume of unstructured data.
