Barclays is looking to hire graduates as part of its Future Leaders programme, offering roles to prospective employees on its fast tracked IT training scheme.
Prospective employees with a university degree are invited to apply for an accelerated two year programme aimed at preparing new entrants for top roles with a series of four to six month rotations in posts across the company, such as the development of mobile banking and branch technology.
According to an advert posted on business networking site LinkedIn, successful applicants will be given experience in areas such as "helping to develop bold new products, gaining on-the-job knowledge or learning how to drive strategic change".
The advert added that the fast-track process will give the opportunity to "acquire the skills, experience and exposure you need to become a respected leader in the field".
Eligible applicants will required to possess at least a 2:1 qualification in a technical discipline, with a "passion for technology".
Last year the bank announced that it would cut 422 jobs in order to make "essential" restructuring changes. The efficiency drive was criticised by union Unite, which cited jobs being transferred abroad.
The company appointed a new chief operating officer in June last year with a view to leading IT operations across the company. Barclays has been attempting to innovate its financial service deliver in recent months, including the rollout of its Pingit mobile payment system to customers.
