UK-born open source provider MuleSource surpassed the one million downloads milestone today.
San Francisco-based MuleSource provides open-source infrastructure and integration software around the open-source Mule ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) and integration platform.
Ross Mason created the Mule project in the UK in 2003. In 2006, Mason joined forces with Dave Rosenberg to found MuleSource in 2006.
MuleSource said it is now a widely-used integration platform by developers, and is deployed in more than 1,000 production environments worldwide.
"The explosion of developer interest around Mule is fantastic," said Mason, CTO and co-founder of MuleSource. "It's clear that the open source model works, and that users are seeing real value from the platform."
