Operating Systems and applications can be difficult to deploy, manage, upgrade and patch. There are simple version updates – and then a full-blown platform migration comes along, for example to Windows 7. Security and compliance requirements change often and take resources away from more innovative projects. Meanwhile, IT budgets and headcounts continue to fall. Desktops play such a critical role in today’s workplace, yet every day they seem to become more complicated and costly to manage.
