As Programme Director at Freeform Dynamics, Tony is responsible for driving coverage in the areas of Systems Infrastructure and Management, IT Service Management, Outsourcing, and emerging hosting models such as Software as a Service and Cloud Computing. Beyond technology, Tony also considers the role of financial models in relation to IT investment.
One of the areas that interests Tony is how developments in infrastructure and communications technologies allow more innovative and effective ways of delivering services to the business. His in depth knowledge of mainframe, server and storage technology and their operational management puts him in an ideal position to drive through theory to real world practicalities. Tony has considerable experience of managing desktops and the associated migration projects. As an analyst he has undertaken extensive research into all aspects of the delivery of services to end users and has written extensively on the likely paths that user and device management will take. Tony speaks regularly in this general area to a wide variety of audiences. Based in Germany, Tony joined Freeform Dynamics in 2007. He has been an industry analyst since 2000, originally with Bloor Research, then later with Sageza. Before this, he gained extensive experience in the vendor arena working for companies such as Amdahl, and also has a strong IT practitioner background with companies like BP and BT.

Nigel has been involved in IT for over 25 years. Starting as a user, he has undertaken various training roles, technical support, IT management and consultancy. In 1993 Nigel moved into a role providing technical consultancy to a global telecommunications provider. Since 1995 he has worked closely with Microsoft based technologies specialising in the analysis, design, development and support of complex solutions based on Windows and associated applications. Nigel’s main focus has been on Windows Server 200x infrastructure and design. He has worked with Microsoft Server Operating Systems since Windows NT 3.5. He has worked with all versions of Microsoft Client Operating Systems since they became commercially available. In 2008 Nigel joined Dell to concentrate on the creation and delivery of EUC solutions for the UK Public Sector. In his current role, Nigel provides consultancy around Any Time, Any Place, Anywhere End User Computing incorporating a traditional approach to the deployment and management of desktop and laptop computing, typically based on the Windows OS as well as a Next Generation, device independent model.
