Tokyo's Akihabara reopens pedestrian zone, 2 years after killings
A pedestrian zone at the heart of Tokyo's Akihabara electronics district was reopened on Sunday, 2 years and 7 months after being closed following an incident that left 7 dead. On June 8, 2008, a truck was driven through crowds on the street, hitting and killing three. The driver then got out and stabbed four more people. An additional 10 were injured.
