London Mayor announces Digital Advisory Board

Boris Johnson promises to free more data

Boris Johnson has signed up a team to act as his Digital Advisory Board for the capital.

The initiative follows the Mayor’s creation of the London Datastore, which put previously unavailable data from the Greater London Authority and London Boroughs online for use free of charge.

The team will be led by Anthony Browne, Johnson’s Economic Advisor. “We have begun the process off transforming the way in which information is shared between the government and the public and it has already paid huge dividends with some incredibly exciting new applications being developed at no cost to the public purse,” Brown said.
