Ministers banned from using iPhone

It's the BlackBerry way for Westminister

Government ministers have been banned from using Apple’s iPhone.

The ban emerged in a parliamentary written answer by health minister Simons Burns.

The only mobile devices or PDAs that have been issued to ministers are BlackBerry devices, Burns said.

“The Department does not issue Apple iPhones to staff as these are not approved for Government use by the CESG.”

CESG is the Information Assurance arm of the government spy centre GCHQ.
