UK-based organisations put up a strong showing in the SAP Quality awards that were presented yesterday at the Sapphire and TechEd conference in Madrid.

UK-based organisations put up a strong showing in the SAP Quality awards that were presented at the Sapphire and TechEd conference in Madrid.

The awards showcase SAP implementations that achieve high standards of quality and project management, which are essential to successfully delivering complex enterprise application projects. In addition, all the successful projects had a very clear focus on rapid time to value.

Award winning UK-based companies and IT teams include Hillarys Blinds Ltd, which won the bronze award in the innovation category, for rolling out SAP devices to thousands of field workers, some of whom lacked basic computer literacy.

National Grid won silver in the large implementation category with JD Wetherspoon winning bronze in the medium implementation category.

Barclays Bank won bronze in the small implementation category for its internal –focussed mobile apps

More than 200 SAP projects from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa were considered.
