Aviva picks NTT Europe Online for consolidated web hosting
Online stability is vital for financial services giant

Aviva has picked NTT Europe Online for consolidated web hostingFinancial services giant Aviva has choosen NTT Europe Online to host all of the group’s websites.
The decision to consolidate all its hosting with a single provider was made after the insurance group, which includes brands such as Norwich Union took over the RAC in 2005, said Senior Technical Authority at Aviva, Christian Fowler.
Much of Aviva’s £41.5bn premium income and investment sales is processed online and maintaining a stable and secure web presence is vital to the company.
“The new secure architecture provides Aviva with real stability for our commercial sites which is vital as they process millions of pounds per month in transactions,” said Fowler.
“With NTT Europe Online we can also quickly scale up in capacity if needed to handle large traffic spikes to keep the sites online and maintain a quality customer experience.”
NTT Europe Online is providing Aviva with three hosting areas – a production and testing environment for new sites and services; a disaster recovery site; and the live system where the sites are delivered to the public.
In addition to hosting the group’s websites, NTT Europe Online is also working with Aviva to develop and host the company’s dedicated internal websites.
